Chunky Applesauce
This is your mother’s applesauce. Chunky, savory and the perfect accompaniment to pork, this recipe adapted from The Food Network screams fall.

Butter

Apples
peeled, cored, & cut into 1/2″ chunks
1 3/4
cup
Apple Cider

pinch
Cinnamon
1/4
cup
Heavy Cream
1/2
cup
Walnuts
toasted & chopped
Instructions
Melt the butter in a large saucepan.
Add apples and sauté over medium-low heat until apples begin to soften.
Add apple cider and cinnamon, cooking until most of the cider has evaporated and apples are cooked and soft.
Add the heavy cream and walnuts, cooking until cream has reduced by half.
