Chunky Applesauce
This is your mother’s applesauce. Chunky, savory and the perfect accompaniment to pork, this recipe adapted from The Food Network screams fall.


  • 3tbsp


  • 4large

    Applespeeled, cored, & cut into 1/2″ chunks

  • 1 3/4cup

    Apple Cider

  • 1pinch


  • 1/4cup

    Heavy Cream

  • 1/2cup

    Walnutstoasted & chopped
  1. Melt the butter in a large saucepan.
  2. Add apples and sauté over medium-low heat until apples begin to soften.
  3. Add apple cider and cinnamon, cooking until most of the cider has evaporated and apples are cooked and soft.
  4. Add the heavy cream and walnuts, cooking until cream has reduced by half.
